My Favorite Korean Skin Care Products

List of my favorite Korean skin care products~

During my 3 years in Korea, I’ve spent so much money trying different Korean skincare products. Some products have been amazing, others not so much. Overall, my skin has really improved a lot during my time here. Today, I’d like to share my top picks!

*My skin: acne prone around my chin, dry skin around my nose and outer lips, oily on my t-zone during the Summer months

Cleansers

  • innisfree Jeju Volcanic Pore Cleansing Foam (화산송이 모공 폼)

KRW: ₩6,000     USD: $5

Buy on Amazon

I really like this cleanser because it cleans my face well without drying out my skin. It doesn’t leave a squeaky clean feeling, just a fresh feeling!

You only need to use a pea sized amount to clean your face. It has little scrubbing beads to help exfoliate.

If you’re in Korea check out the stores for 1+1 events.

  • Neogen Dermalogy – Real Fresh Foam Green Tea (네오젠 더마로지 리얼 프레쉬 폼 그린티)

KRW: ₩15,900     USD: $14

Buy on Amazon

My favorite foam cleanser. I love using this after work to wash my face. It has green tea at the bottle of the bottle. Defintely a good simple cleanser.

Toners

  • Klairs – Supple Preparation Facial Toner

KRW: ₩24,000,000     USD: $21.99

Buy on Amazon

I like using this toner at night time. It’s great for moisturizing my skin and making it feel supple, hence the name. 😉

  • Etude House – Wonder Pore Freshner (원더포어 프레쉬너)

KRW: ₩15,000     USD: $13

Buy on Amazon

Wonder pore is my go to toner. It’s simple and does the job at cleaning up my excess makeup.

  • Mamonde – Rose Water Toner (로즈워터 토너)

KRW: ₩15,000     USD: $13

Buy on Amazon

I put this toner in a spray bottle and use it as a mist. It’s great for moisturizing my face after cleansing.

  • Missha – Time Revolution the First Treatment Essence -Intensive Moist (타임 레볼루션 더 퍼스트 트리트먼트 에센스 – 인텐시브 모이스트)

KRW: ₩37,800     USD: $33

Buy on Amazon

I always use this toner in the mornings. It helps to moisturize and brighten my skin without leaving any sticky residue.

  • COSRX – One Step Original Clear Pad

KRW: ₩17,500     USD: $15

Buy on Amazon

If you have breakouts then these are a must have! I use this whenever I feel breakouts coming in. It helps to tone and exfoliate my skin as well as keep my pimples away.

Serums

  • Klairs – Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop

KRW: ₩25,000     USD: $23

Buy on Amazon

Buy on Wishtrend

This serum is really great for fading red hyper-pigmentation from acne breakouts. I think it also helps even out your skin texture and pores.

I don’t break out much these days, but sometimes I’ll get the occasional pimple on my chin. Whenever I’m left with those red marks, I use this serum for a few days and it helps fade the spots.

  • Wishtrend – Pure Vitamin C 21.5% Advanced Serum

KRW: ₩25,000     USD: $23.

I use this serum to fade red acne marks but it’s a bit too strong for me.

I don’t recommend this serum for sensitive skin because it does sting a bit.

If I apply this serum on my entire face, it always feels hot and itchy. Most of the time, I just use this serum as a spot treatment on areas that I need extra help.

Sheet Masks/Face Masks

  • Etude House – Therapy Air Masks (테라피 에어 마스크)

    KRW: ₩1,000     USD: $.90

    Buy on Amazon

I love Etude House face masks. Out of all the face masks I have tried, these are the best because they fit perfectly on my face. The serum concentration is really good and you always have left over to put on your arms and neck.

  • Medi Heal Masks (메디힐  마스크)

KRW: ₩1,000-3,000     USD: $1-3

Buy on Amazon

Mediheal masks are another one of my favorite masks. Like Etude House, these masks fit really well on my face. Whenever I use these masks, my skin always looks hydrated and brighter.

I buy them at Olive Young for around 1,000-2,000 Won depending on sales and promotions.

  • Tony Moly – Tomatox Magic White Massage Pack (토마톡스 매직 마사지팩)

KRW: ₩9,800     USD: $8

Buy on Amazon

This mask is great for brightening and fading hyper pigmentation. If you have sensitive skin, beware because it stings.

The massage pack is a little tough to wash off. It leaves a bit of a slimy film on your face, so make sure you cleanse your face after.

Scrubs/Exfoliators

  • Skinfood – Black Sugar Mask Wash Off (블랙슈가 마스크 위시 오프)

KRW: ₩7,700     USD: $6

Buy on Amazon

Just an amazing mask! Whenever my skin feels dull and dry, I put this mask on. When you wash it off your skin feels so nice and smooth!

  • Neogen Dermalogy Bio-Peel + Gentle Gauze Peeling Green Tea/Lemon/Wine (네오젠 더마로지 바이오 필 젠틀 거즈 필링 그린티/레몬/와인)

    KRW: ₩22,900     USD: $22

    Buy on Amazon

These peels are really great for exfoliation. After taking a shower, I just wipe it on my face and wash it off. My skin looks smoother and brighter in the morning.

Moisturizers

  • Dr.Jart+ Cicapair Green Solution Cream (닥터자르트 시카페어크림)

    KRW: ₩45,000     USD: $40

    Buy on Amazon

This is definitely one of the most expensive skincare products that I use but worth the money! I have tried so many types of moisturizers, and this one works the best for my skin. It leaves my skin moisturized without feeling sticky or oily.

I always buy this product at Olive Young because the store is right next to my apartment.

Always make sure to check the sale promotions, you can get it for a lot cheaper!

There you have it! My favorite Korean skin care products at the moment. Products will work differently for each person. These are just my opinions on how the products have worked for me.~
